The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach is proud to present our 11th Anniversary Race of the Runways at the Flagler Executive Airport.   This is a unique evening 5K where participants run or walk along illuminated airport runways under the searchlight of a circling helicopter.  Join us Saturday evening, February 26, 2022 at 6:30 PM.  

Participants are encouraged to add to the fun by wearing glow-in-the-dark clothing and accessories.  Light-up costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.  Please, no glow sticks.

7:30   Kiddie Dash - just after final 5k walker crosses the finish line.
7:30   Awards Ceremony - Post Race Party – Music, dancing, food and fun!

$40 day of race - registration closes at 6:30

12 and under

Kiddie Dash (50 yard or 100 yard dash)        $5

Tee Shirts
Only pre-registered runners who successfully complete the registration and payment process before Monday, February 14th will be guaranteed a free race T-shirt.  There may be T-Shirts available on race day, but availability and sizes are not guaranteed.  

Awards
Age groups include, 9 and under 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90 and up.

Best Male, Female and Team “Light Up The Runway” costume awards will be given to the flashiest and most creative. For the safety of the runners, NO GLOW STICKS PERMITTED.

Timing and Scoring
Whether walking or running, participants will be timed and scored with a disposable chip attached to their numbered Bib.  Kiddie race is for fun and will not be timed.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
COVID19 – Should the Race of the Runways date have to change by order of the Flagler County Health Department, all registration monies will be applied to the newly scheduled Date.  No refunds or participant transfers.  Race will be held rain or shine.  Depending on COVID numbers leading up to the race, mask requirements, after party details, wave starts, etc., may need to be adjusted and/or implemented.
