_The 2021 Johnson County Toys for Tots 5K Fun Run/Walk:

Children are one of our nation’s most valuable resources. Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders – civic, business, and social. Alarmingly, approximately 13 million America children live in poverty. Studies reveal that growing up in poverty can have an adverse psychological impact on a child. One of the adverse impacts is low self-esteem, a by-product of little or no hope for the future.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign is to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. Toys for Tots is a 501(c)(3) non-for profit charity and is an official US Marine Corps mission with a goal to bring joy, happiness, and hope for the future to many less fortunate children in our area. By delivering a new unwrapped toy at Christmas, a message of hope will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
Every child deserves some happiness and hope for the future. Your support and generosity will deliver the message that they are not forgotten. Know that you have made a difference in a child’s life.

Every participant will receive a medal and a swag bag.  Gather your team, find your racing buddy, lace those shoes, and get prepared to help the children of Johnson County this Christmas!
