It's a Pirate's Life for all of us!  Ships Ahoy.  We are going to have a LIVE In-person event with PIRATE's themed encampment at the start, finish, and on the course!

 BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH .Corner of Warner Blvd and Pacific Coast Hwy.  Lot 25  

COURSE:  Will be flat and fast and wide enough for strollers, walkers, and dog's on leashes to stay to the right. Run right along the beach on paved path.

Awards: Top Three Male/Female Awards. There are “In It To Win It” age categories 3 deep with 5 year age spans:  5k and 10K
1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80&over

YOU get a 4th reward for doing  three SUMMER EVENTS:  Cinco De Miles,  SO Cal Pirate's Run, 4th of July Red, White, & Blue , and the TIKI BEACH 5k/10K are the summer race options. 

EARLY RACE PACKET PICK UP at Costa Mesa's Road Runner Sports from 2 to 5 pm.

  Costa Mesa 92627      (You can pick up for others. No ID required)

Race Day Schedule:  FOR 2021
6:30 am Vendors arrive and set up.
               Volunteers arrive and check in
6:30 am-8:15  Registration OPEN
                Shirts and bibs available for pick up race day 
6:30am to 9 am   Pirate's encampment open for participants.  Social distancing and masks in this area may still be required. 
7am to 8:15am  Staggered start times, every 5 seconds if still required.  All participants must be finished with the course by 9am to be in the age divisions tabulation.
9:15 am Times are posted and emailed.  You may pick up your award...curbside style or chose to have mailed to you by adding on the $8 mail back. This is available until the Wednesday after the event.  There will be a tiered podium for you to receive your award on. 

PARKING:
PARKING at BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH is $15. You may wish to carpool. To enter into BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH go in the main gate on PCH and drive the furthest EAST to the very last parking lot. (Lot 25) The race is staged in view of that famous Jack In the Box on the corner of Warner and PCH. Parking is free to the west behind that Jack in the Box.  Or there is also metered parking.  Do not park in the shopping center or gas station.

Virtual Run: The virtual run race is perfect for those who can't make the race but still want to earn a medal! Participant will choose their own date and location to run the distance on their own through the "honor" system and receive their custom event shirt and medal in the mail. Now your friends and family from across the miles can celebrate and participate with you! Packets will not be available before race day. You will be able to pick up your packets at Early Packet Pick Up location or if you need it mail, we will mail it the on Wednesday following the event. Shipping fee applies.

Pets: Friendly Pets are allowed and must be leashed at all times and accompanied by a Run /Walk participant. 

Stroller: Families can bring strollers, but agree to use at own risk.  Stay to your right.  

Note, that only register participants with a BIB will receive a finisher medal. Please make sure your BIB is in the front and visible to the finish line crew.

Also, note that the open public uses this path.  There will be cyclists and other runners and walkers. 

Race will take place rain or shine or shipwrecked!  Atlas, ye mattes, let's run.
