_ The 2022 Cassadaga Lakes Running Festival:
Marathon, Half Marathon,10K, 5K, and 1 mile races in Cassadaga, New York on Sunday, May 29, 2022
NO cut off times for any distance. We will be there to cheer you in as you cross the Finish Line.
Enjoy this challenging course as it rolls along the three lakes of Cassadaga. Flat beginning and ending with a whole lot of big bumps in the middle for the longer distances.
Race t-shirts, freshly catered meal, fully stocked aid stations, STBC Beer Zone, and fire pit.
Did we mention that this course is hilly?? Train for the hills and challenge yourself with those ups and downs, especially for the Half and full Marathon. The course is on paved roads the entire way. No cut off times!

LOCATION:
Race start and finish at the Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue, Cassadaga, NY
PARKING:
FREE parking will be available with shuttle bus to the race site. More information will be given as we get closer to race day.
There will be no parking at the race site.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Saturday - 4p - 8pm - Packet Pick Up at race site (not mandatory)
Sunday - 6:30am-7:45am Check-in open for all distances at the race site.
**Please note that there will NOT be race day registration.
7:45am - Athlete meeting for all distances at the Start/Finish Line
8:00am - Race start
CHANGING YOUR DISTANCE:
You are permitted to change the race distance that you have signed up for PRIOR to race day ONLY! No refunds if going down in distance, rate difference for going up in distance.
MARATHON SPECIAL NEEDS BAG:
If you are racing the Marathon - you are welcome to bring a bag that will be available to you at the turn around which will be at the Start/Finish Line. There will be a drop off location near the check in table on race day.
ON COURSE SUPPORT:
Fully stocked aid stations roughly every mile with Hammer Nutrition products, water, candy, fruit, pickles and more.
Portable restrooms will be available at the Start/Finish Line as well on the course at 3 different locations.
COURSE:
Start and Finish at the Cassadaga Beach. This is an out-and-back course with all courses traveling the same route. Turn arounds will be marked for each distance.
It is your responsibility to know your distance and be aware of your turnaround spot.
All turnaround spots will have volunteers marking down bib #’s. Results will be verified before posted that all runners reached their designated turn arounds.

DRY BAG DROP OFF & MEN/WOMEN CHANGING TENTS:
Large blue tents available at race site. Dry bags can be dropped off and labeled at check in.
DIVISIONS & AWARDS:
Top 3 Overall Male & Female for each distance
Top 3 M/F Age group winners, 5 year age groups, for each distance.
POST RACE:
Race T-shirts & Finisher Medals
Beer Zone supplied by Southern Tier Brewing Company (must be 21 years of age)
Fire Pit if it is a chilly day.
Catered Food will be provided to participants. Additional items will be available for purchase to you and your spectators.
RULES:
Only registered athletes on the course.
No offensive, intimidating, or dangerous behavior will be tolerated.
No dogs permitted.
Races held rain or shine. There is NO refund for this event or bib transfers. However, with ADVANCE notice, you may defer to another Wilson Endurance Sports event or next years race. You must speak with Tonia Wilson directly via email at [email protected] or 716-353-1288.

FAQ's
1. What if I am a really slow runner or need to walk most of the course. Will you pull me out of the race?
A. NO. No cut off times. Period.
2. What if I am not feeling well leading up to the race?
A. Please stay home. We are doing all that we can to follow CDC, State and Local Health Dept. guidelines as it pertains to Covid-19. Do your part and be considerate of others and just stay home if you do not feel well or have been exposed to someone that has Covid-19. We will defer your registration to 2023 with notice. No shows will not be deferred.
3. Is it ok if we bring our dog?
A. Not really. a.) The Park does not allow dogs and all of the activities will be within the Park. b.) Out of the park is neighboring lawns and we don’t think it’s very nice to have your dog hang out in someone else’s lawn all day. c.) Dogs and other dogs don’t always mix. d.) We love dogs, but this isn’t the venue for it. Sorry.
4. Can my friend run alongside me to pace my run and keep me company?
A. NO. No-one other than registered athletes on the course.
5. Can I bring items I may need while out on the course?
A. Yes. Marathon participants can bring a Special Needs bag with whatever you think you may need. It will be at the halfway point/turnaround for you and we will put a sticker with your bib# on it and a volunteer will be there to help you find it.
6. Will you have aid stations on the run course?
A. Yes. There are 7 aid stations out on the course, 3 with port-a-johns. They will be stocked with water, Hammer Nutrition Gels, Electrolytes, Heed (to mix in a water bottle), bananas, oranges, chips, cookies, granola bars, candy.
7. I may need to walk some of that run course. Will the aid stations and finish line still be up?
A. Yes. NO cut off time. Period.
