_The 2021 Get Your Second Wind 5K & Gifts of Light Walk for Dementia:

CHANGING THE PERCEPTION OF AGING

Founded in 1997 the internationally-known nonprofit Second Wind Dreams® (SWD®) is dedicated to changing the perception of aging through the fulfillment of dreams and the offering of educational programs including its flagship, sensitivity training, the Virtual Dementia Tour®.

Get Your Second Wind 5K: a chip timed race with unique dream catcher age group awards. The route is on a mixture of black top path and crushed stone.

Gifts of Light Walk for Dementia: is a 1-mile, untimed walk with an opportunity for a team member to experience a Virtual Dementia Tour aspect on their walk.

Hula Hoop Contest and Clinic: After the run/walk we will have a clinic for those wanting to learn to hula hoop followed by a contest for the most seasoned of hoopers! $100 gift prize for winner!

Virtual 5K: If you can't join us in person on Dec. 18th, you can still participate virtually! Run a 5K on your own (between 12/1-12/18 and submit your results here, and we'll mail you your t-shirt and any swag that you earned.
