Tennessee’s Oldest Marathon, the Run AJM Jackson Andrew Jackson Marathon, proudly celebrates 50 years in Jackson TN! The marathon began in 1972 as a celebration of the city’s Sesquicentennial Anniversary and eventually became an annual event, adding a half marathon along the way. The looped course offers a marathon distance (two loops) and a half marathon distance (one loop) that winds its way from beautiful downtown through historic midtown up to the Interstate and back. Come join us to help celebrate 50 years, support the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and stay to see what our beautiful city has to offer.
