RACE SHIRTS: Shirts (and sizes) are NOT guaranteed and will be available as long as they last. We do not guarantee availability of shirts on race day and are limited to the stock available at that time. We ask for your size for ordering purposes.
VIRTUAL RUNNERS / WALKERS: Shirts for virtual runners and walkers registered by Friday, March 18, will have a shirt mailed to them. Virtual runners/walkers registered AFTER Friday, March 18, can only get a shirt at the race site on race day. (Limited to availability at the time)
The 7th Annual Fast & Furriest 5K race and 1M walk to benefit Operation Paws for Homes - an all-breed 501c3 dog rescue - is one of the rescue's largest annual fundraisers which is focused on raising funds toward the medical needs of our dogs.
Each year, Operation Paws for Homes incurs over $150,000 in medical costs. This event aims to replenish a piece of those funds. We encourage families, runners, walkers, supporters and anyone interested in helping this organization while enjoying a fun event. Along with a silent auction, vendors will be greeting you as they, too, support OPH. Each auction item will feature a "Donate and Dash" amount. Just donate the D&D amount and take the goodies with you! No waiting for final bidding. As always, we welcome your leashed dogs to run or walk the course, too!
This year's 5k event is both live and virtual! The live race will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Participants should be on site by 8AM. The virtual 5k race can be run from Saturday, April 23, until Tuesday, April 25. The deadline for switching from live to virtual has ended. Please email the race director to change.
If you are registered for the virtual race by March 25, your race shirt will be mailed directly to your home! (Registrations received after March 24 cannot be mailed.).
Tell all your friends and family - wherever they are located - they, too, can participate in this event and support the many dogs that need us every single day. Let's make it coast to coast this year! Hybrid events have become more common since COVID-19 has taken over our lives. We are excited to host this event again and hope you are just as excited to join us !
Special Note: We will monitor the COVID-19 situation in the weeks leading up to the race and will follow all CDC, state and local guidelines and/or restrictions in effect on race day. In the event the live event must be rescheduled due to COVID-19, live event participants' registration fees will be refunded 100% or applied to the rescheduled event at your request. (We cannot refund the $2.50 RunSignUp sign up fee.)
