• Half Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles

_ The 2nd Annual Vac & Dash Mangum Marathon & 1/2 Marathon :

Kick off 2020 with the 2nd Annual Vac & Dash Mangum Marathon & Half Marathon.

This race is limited to 30 people in the Marathon and 30 people in the 1/2 Marathon.  We will have a waiting list, once the run sells out.  Their is a 7-hour time limit for the marathon and a five-hour time limit for the 1/2.

Both events will be timed, with finisher medals to all that finish and medals to the top ten men and women in both events.

The course will start at the Dog Pen out in the boondocks, outside of Ellerbe, NC. You will  run 2-miles, take a right, run 13.1 miles turnaround and run back to the finish.  Boston has Heartbreak Hill, the Mangum Marathon has the famous climb to Bethel Church at around the 22-mile mark.  For the 1/2, you will turn around at the 6.55 mark and reverse back to the dog pen.

The closest address to the Start/Finish is 869 Holly Grove Church Rd., Ellerbe, NC 28338. Race is at the intersection of Carthage Creek Road and Holly Grove Church Road in Richmond County.

The course will be well supported.   All participants will receive a long sleeve men or women's technical shirt.
