_ The 2022 Rotary Runs The Beach :
The 3rd annual 'Rotary Runs The Beach' takes place on scenic Indian Rocks Beach. Running on the beach is as beautiful as ever! A 5K timed run or 1-mile family fun run / walk is offered. A special thanks to our main sponsor The Original Crabby Bill's restaurant! This March 26, 2022 event benefits the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks that supports both local and international causes (please visit www.indianrocksrotary.org). This is a great event for competitors as well as beginners.
The 5K begins at 8:00am and the 1 miler begins 8:05am. Join us at the beach park located at 1700 Gulf Blvd on Indian Rocks Beach. There is a nominal fee for parking on site, or park on city streets for no fee. Race is chipped and the course is “out and back”. Packet pick-up at “The Original Crabby Bill's” located at 401 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Rocks Beach on March 24th and 25th between 3:30 and 7:00pm. On Race Day go straight to 1700 Gulf Blvd. T-shirts not guaranteed if not registered by March 17th.
We are also offering a virtual run this year.
Note that on-line registration closes the midnight March 21st. In-person registration can be accomplished at Crabby Bill's on Thursday and Friday (March 24th and 25th) between 3:30 - 7:00 and before the event on location, Saturday morning.
After-party at Crabby Bill's in Indian Rocks Beach just a mile or so from the race location... what a fantastic way to reward yourself for a job well done! A free beverage is included for all registrants. An all-you-can-eat buffet will be available at the after party for $15.00 for registrants family members and friends (details subject to change) .
Are you a run or fitness club member? Join the Running Club Competition when you run the 5K. Individual winners (medals). You can create you own team as well - so get your fellow runners together and create a team/club! Individual Running Contest open to all runners. Medals for winners by age groups (10-year breakouts). Again a special thanks to our main sponsor The Original Crabby Bill's! One last item... Finley, the Clearwater Threshers mascot will be in attendance!...fun for the entire family! Be sure to bring your cameras / cell phones.
