_ The 2022 Discover Whitewater Series Half Marathon & 5K:  

Whitewater has always been known for its charm and ideal location, nestled within the forest, lakes, prairies, and hills of the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeastern Wisconsin. In the 10th year of this event, we are incredibly excited to celebrate this milestone anniversary with each of you!

The number one priority of the DWS has always been to provide an exceptional athletic event for our participants. Updates will be posted as needed to this site as well as runwhitewater.com.

Returning Events for 2022 DWS:

o  W3 Fit Kid Shuffle: Saturday in conjunction with packet pick-up

o  Kids Korral: Sunday morning child care provided by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College of Education majors. 

o  Awards Ceremony: Top overall finishers will be awarded in person

o  Age Group Awards: New age categories (10 and under, 11 - 14, 14 - 19)

Registration:

Online Registration will be open until September 18, 2022 7:30a. Participants who register by September 1st will be able to pick up your event shirt on-site with packet pick-up. Those who register September 2nd - September 18th will have their event shirt mailed out to them approximately three weeks after the event has been completed. 

Packet Pick-Up:

Located at Whitewater High School on Saturday, September 17th 12n - 3p and Sunday, September 18th 6 – 7:30 a.m. Packets will include bib, pins, and event shirt. During this year’s packet pick up, no on-site registration or t-shirt exchange will be available (order accordingly). The DWS is a certified green race and will not have print outs of the course map available in the packets. Please download the course map prior to your arrival.

Prize Money/Awards

All registered participants who finish the half marathon and 5K will receive a finisher’s medal. Awards will be given out in person to the overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners for the half marathon and the 5K (men and women). An additional purse prize will be provided on-site to the top three overall men and women in the half marathon.
