10th Annual Black Squirrel 5K ~ Results

_ The 2022 Black Squirrel 5K Walk/Run:

Please join us for our 10th annual spring race which will take place Saturday, Apr. 9, 2022. The race, named after Kent State University's unofficial mascot, will be available for anyone to participate.  The course is a loop course beginning and ending near the entrance to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the Kent State University Campus. If you are in Kent and would like to run the actual course, it will be marked and will take you through the campus via the Esplanade and Portage Bike and Hike Trail. A few small hills adds to the runners experience so be on the lookout for the infamous black squirrels.

Registration Fees
Saturday, Jan. 1 - Sunday, Mar. 20 (T-shirt included)
- 5k: $25 
- 1-mile: $15

Monday, Mar. 21 - Saturday, Apr. 9 (T-shirt not included)
- 5k: $20
- 1-mile: $10

T-Shirts
T-shirts and race bibs will be available for pick-up on Friday, Apr. 8, 2022 from 4 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 9 starting at 7 a.m. at the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation & Wellness Center.

Cancellation policy
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person, event or year. The 2022 Black Squirrel 5k Walk/Run will be held rain or shine.
Recreational Services reserves the right to refuse any entry.
