2012 Windward Half Marathon & 5K:

  • The Windward Half Marathon started in 1980 as a way to build relations between Kailua residents and Marines at the neighboring Marine Corps Base.
  • Today the race includes runners from Kailua, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, the neighbor islands, the continental US, Japan and Australia.
  • The 5K is a straight run on Kainalu Drive.
