_The 2022 Strides for Adam:
Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for ages 10-24. More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.
On Dec 26, 2018 this unfortunate statistic affected Adam Holten, his family, extended family, friends and the community. We lost a very good person to suicide. Adam affected many people’s lives with his presence, his smile, his laughter, his handshakes and his ability to reach out and lift other people up.
Since his passing we have created a non profit organization: Strides for Adam. We are coordinating a 5K race to continue his legacy of service to others and keep his memory alive.
Join us In-person in 2022 for the 3rd annual Strides for Adam 5k and 1 mile reflection walk. We are also offering a virtual event for those that are unable to participate in-person.
