The race is considered a "BAREFOOT" event, socks will be permitted, but only if they do not exceed 1/8" in thickness.

NEW for 2012 we will be opening up a shoe division However, awards will only be based off of the top10 male/female overall. Only the Barefoot division will be separated in five year age groups.

Location: Race will start and end around Lifequard Tower 6 on Las Olas and A1A on the Beach.

Dash for the Cash: Must be Barefoot to qualify for cash prize.

1.25 Mile sprint, cash prize is the overall Male/Female. Prize is determined by the amount of people signed up.

T-shirts: will only be given away to participants registered by March 21,2012.

Chip Timing: the Event will be chip timed. The timing chip must be worn during the 5K for everyone or the participant will not be eligible for any awards or listed in the results. All participants will be charged $20.00 if they fail to return the timing chip to the volunteers at the finish line.

Awards: Barefoot 5K Awards will be given to the top 3 M/F overall, along with the following age categories

0-14,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65+

Shoe Division Awards: Top 10 M/F Overall
