_ The 2022 Bill Hill Memorial Duathlon & 5k:
 

In 2018, Harmony House hosted the first Bill Hill Memorial Duathlon in honor of one of our community’s greatest supporters. Not only was he an avid cyclist and runner,  Bill was a powerful advocate for persons experiencing homelessness. He organized collections for Harmony House and was hands on with the homeless veteran’s center.  After taking a year off for COVID, we were hopeful we could bring back the third annual duathlon in person, but with the recent spike in cases and at the recommendation of the Cabell Huntington Health Department and our own Dr. Sidnee McElroy, we've opted to go fully virtual this year.  While we are sad that we can't be together in person, the virtual option allows us to continue with the event in a way that keeps our participants, volunteers, and our vulnerable clients, as well as the community safe.  By moving forward in a creative manner, we are grateful we can continue to honor Bill’s memory and legacy of giving.

Register for the 5k option to complete a 5k walk or run or register for the full Duathlon event and complete a 5k walk/run followed by 8 miles of cycling between September 13th and September 18th.  Once complete, enter your time using the results link, and send a photo to Missy who will share it on our Facebook page celebrating your support and accomplishment.  Having this event virtually allows participants the ability to choose their own 5k and biking routes to best suit their individual abilities, location, and comfort at a time that's convenient for them.
