_ The 2022 4th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k:
 

Join us for the 4th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k & 5k April 30 -May 1, 2022, in Tucker County, West Virginia in the heart of the Potomac Highlands. This road race takes place in one of the East Coast’s most idyllic settings and is just a short drive to any outdoor activity you could want. The area is also home to two amazing and eclectic mountain towns full of arts and culture. So if you are looking for a new Half Marathon, 10K,  or 5K to run, and need a mountain vacation or just a getaway for the day or weekend we certainly are the race for you!

For 2022 we will be offering all the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K on both Saturday, April 30th, and Sunday, May 1st! For the first time ever we have reserved the entire Canaan Valley Resort for the weekend to create an Epic Destination Running Experience. You are more than welcome to come for the day, but we'd love it if you spent the weekend with us. We have also added the Canaan Valley Runcation Experience which is two days of running, you pick your distances for both Saturday and Sunday, and includes Awesome Swag and Extra Bling(3 medals). The Canaan Valley Runcation Experience is our Fun Weekend Package. 

For those looking for competition check out the Conquer the Valley Challenge, this year the 5K for the Conquer the Valley Challenge will be on Saturday 4/30, and the Half Marathon will be on Sunday, 5/1. We will be offering Cash Prizes to both Male and Female Runners for the Conquer the Valley Challenge.

Runners must complete the 5K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday to be eligible for the Cash Prizes.
The way the Conquer the Valley Challenge is scored is 3X your 5K Time, plus your Half Marathon Time. Courses will be USTAF certified barring any last-minute changes that are out of our control.

Swag & Giveaway's

Canaan Valley 5K -We are offering the Canaan Valley 5K on both Saturday and Sunday 4/30 & 5/1 so you can choose which day is best for you. All participants will receive a Finisher Medal and Race T-shirt. 

Canaan Valley Half Marathon and 10K -We will be offering both the 10K and the Half Marathon on both Saturday and Sunday 4/30 & 5/1, you can choose which day is best for you!. All participants will receive a Finisher Medal, and Half Marathon participants will receive a Tri-Blend Lightweight Hoodie, and 10K participants will receive a Race T-shirt.

Conquer the Valley Challenge - Runners must complete the 5K on Saturday 4/30,  and the Half Marathon on Sunday 5/1 to be eligible for the Cash Prizes. Canaan Valley Runcation Experience - New for 2022! 2 Days of Racing! You pick any 2 Distances and run both Saturday 4/30 & Sunday 5/1. All participants will receive a finisher medal for each distance completed (1 Medal for each day) as well as a bonus Runcation Finisher Medal, and an AWESOME Zip Hoodie. 

Course Time Limit

Course Time Limit is 4 Hours for All Distances. All Runners must be finished by 11 am on both Saturday 4/30, and Sunday 5/1.

Destination Half Marathon in Beautiful West Virginia

Our destination Half Marathon, 10k & 5k feature the scenic brilliance of Tucker County, West Virginia. Which above all is a place known for its endless outdoor opportunities. Furthermore, Canaan Valley is just miles from the rugged and beautiful backcountry of Dolly Sods and Canaan Mountain, the amazing vertical feet of Blackwater Falls State Park, and the luxury of Canaan Valley Resort. The neighboring towns of  Davis and Thomas offer eclectic restaurants, multiple breweries, art galleries, and live entertainment. Fortunately, they are just miles from the racecourse and make the Canaan Valley Half Marathon and 10K the perfect runcation. 

Although it is a world away, Canaan Valley is only a half day’s drive from major metropolitan areas, including Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Columbus. So if you are looking for a Half Marathon in West Virginia then you should consider running with us.
