_ The 2022 BearTrax and Brownie Shuffle:
The Bear Trax and Brownie Shuffle was started in 2009 as a way to honor a dear friend, Nancy Sellars, who was killed by a drunk driver while riding her bike. The race not only brought people to the trails she loved at Lapham Peak, but also raised money for a fund established in her name.
All events will be run within Lapham Peak State Park. The 20K starts at 9:30am. The Brownie Shuffle 10K and 5K will begin at 10am.
Lapham Peak State Park is less than a mile south of I-94 on Hwy C in Delafield. It's about 30 minutes west of Milwaukee and 45 minutes east of Madison. Parking will be available near the start/finish area but is limited; carpooling is encouraged. All cars will need a Wisconsin State park sticker for entry. One-day passes can be purchased at the entrance. Allow for extra time if you will need to purchase entrance on race day.
Participants who register by March 31, 2021, are guaranteed a commemorative shirt. Those who sign up after the deadline are not guaranteed a shirt but will receive one as long as supplies last or will be offered a shirt from a previous race.
Age group awards will also be distributed to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+
Tu need to pass, call out “on your left” and move as far left as you can. Once you have passed a runner and you are at least 10’ in front of them, move back to the right.
