2022 Albany Move'n'Groove ?

• 5K Run or Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

Run, walk, skate or stroll a 5K in a flat loop course circling Albany CA's Memorial Park in the first annual Move'n'Groove on Sunday April 24, 2022 at 10am! This fun community event is funded in part through the City of Albany's unique Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Tax. Proceeds benefit the Albany Community Foundation.

Roller skaters (inline or quad skates, but no skateboards or scooters) will start in a separate heat before the runners and walkers. Participants will be seeded into different starting waves based on expected pace. Wheelchairs and child strollers are also permitted, with strollers starting in a separate heat after most of the runners, walkers, and skaters have finished.

Everyone completes 6 loops (0.52 miles per loop) for the 5K distance. Participants are responsible for keeping track of their own lap count. Course distance is not USATF certified, but the distance is quite close to a true 5K based on GPS. Chip timing will ensure accurate results for all participants.

Registration fee covers chip timing and post-race refreshments but does not include an event T-shirt which will be available for purchase as the event date approaches.
