_ The 2022 First Coast Parkinson's Run:

As many as 1 million Americans live with Parkinson’s disease– that’s more than multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig’s disease combined. Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease each year, but there are thousands more whose disease goes undetected and yet Parkinson's is not a well-known, well supported disease in comparison.

2022 Event

On April 30, 2022, the 9th Annual First Coast Parkinson’s 5K walk/run, 1 mile fun run, and a 5K Virtual Run is being held to raise money to provide increased resources and services to people with Parkinson's and their care partners in the First Coast Region of Florida.

Awards:

Awards will be presented to the top three men and women overall, first master’s male and female overall, and the top three in each of the following male and female age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. Awards will also be given to Teams with the most participants in the following categories: Elementary School, High School, Middle School and Organization.

Packet Pickup

Packets will be available for pick up on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at your selected 1st Place Sports locations and at the Barco Newton YMCA Fleming Island location. Packets will be available for pick up at YMCA Barco Newton located at 2075 Town Center Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32003 on  Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Packets will be moved to the starting line for pickup beginning at 7:30 AM on Raceday.

Race Timing

The race will be timed using the bib chip. Your entry fee covers the cost of the bib chip.

Don’t miss the Post Race Celebration with a Kid Zone, PD Movement Tent, Health Fair, Food, Health and Wellness Vendors, and live entertainment!
