2022 The Big Game 5K ~ Results ..

February 13, 2022 is the day of a certain football game that will determine the World Champion.  While many eyes will be focused on the "game" that will start at 6:28pm, we know the official BIG GAME will be held on February 13, 2021 at Vista View Park in Davie Florida.  Join the Russell Foundation as we host the inaugural THE BIG GAME 5K.   The Russell Education Foundation was established in 1998 by ex-Miami Dolphin and Miami Hurricane linebacker, Twan Russell, and his late mother Corliss. Corliss, a middle-school teacher with a huge heart for helping struggling children, launched the Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation afterschool program to focus on reading to equip children for academic success.

Our mission is to inspire and equip underserved children and their families with the tools for continued success. REF currently provides quality after school and summer learning services for kindergarten – 5th-grade students for over 800 children in 9 locations throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Since 1998, the Russell Education Foundation has impacted the lives of over 20,000 low-income students and their families. Our students have bloomed into high school and college graduates, achieved meaningful employment and have become caring parents. REF is an essential afterschool service for working parents in low-income communities filling the school-age childcare gap between 3p.m. to 6p.m.

• The Big Game 5K is a chipped timed event
• The 5K course is flat and fast
• Awards provided to top 3 overall, masters, senior masters, and age groups
• Age groups are as follows:  male/female  0-8; 9-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+
• All participants will receive a personalized race bib, dri-fit tech shirt, awesome finisher medal, and digital race completion certificate
• The Big Game 5K race start time is 8:00am
• Proceeds to benefit the Russell Education Foundation
• Event Date:  Sunday February 13, 2022
• Event Fees:
  September 1 to December 31, 2021:  $35 (adult) and $25 (youth)
  January 1 to January 28, 2022:  $37.40 (adult) and $27.50(youth)
  January 29 to February 12, 2022:  $39.50(adult) and $29.50(youth)
  February 13, 2022:  $45.00 (adult) and $35.00 (youth)
