2022 Dan Robinson Memorial 5K, 10K, and Fun Run ~ Results

_ The 2022 Dan Robinson Memorial 5K, 10K, and Fun Run:

This will be a third annual event hosted by the Grant Playground and Recreation Association that will take place at Grant City Park located at 401 Kidtopia Park Rd (formerly Park Road). This event is held in memory of the late Dan Robinson whose love for God and country was known by many throughout our community. Dan was instrumental in the formation of our non-profit organization and laid the groundwork for the development of Kidtopia playground. The proceeds from this event will benefit Kidtopia and help support its continued needs. This year we are planning more than just a race. Race participants will get unlimited, early access to a host of fun after-race activities including hair painting, inflatables, face painting, a balloon artist, and more. There will also be food available for purchase.

The 5K and (New for 2022!) 10K Race: The 5k is a USTAF certified walk/run race and both races will begin at Grant City Park, travel through the scenic mountain town of Grant. The course is mostly flat with a few inclines, including "Cardiac Hill" at the end.  Volunteers and directional signs will be strategically posted along the routes to help guide runners in the right direction. A water and first aid station will be set up near the halfway point of the 5K, which is approximately mile 3.75 of the 10K.  These races will end back at Grant City Park in front of Kidtopia playground. Rehydration & nutritious snacks will be available before and after the races. Please note that you must register by May 26th to be guaranteed a t-shirt! Awards categories for the 5K and 10K are as follows: Male and female divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. The Kid's Fun Run: This event will take place at Grant Town Park at 10:00 AM and is designed for kids ages 2 to 12.

Sleep-in Option: If you want to support our cause but simply aren't interested in racing, consider the Sleep-In Option. All sleep-in registrants will receive a race day t-shirt and enjoy the cozy comforts of your own bed on race morning. T-shirts can be collected near our registration table until 10:00 am the day of the race or will be mailed to out-of-town registrants.  You may also donate the amount of your choosing by clicking here or selecting the "DONATE" tab above.

1:00-5:00 PM Packet Pick-up at the main pavilion at Grant Town Park (Note: Fun Run participants will not have a packet to pick up since there will be no race bag or t-shirt)

6:00 to 7:15 AM Race Day Packet Pickup and Late Registration (we will be unable to provide a t-shirt to late registrants) 8:00 AM 5K and 10K Run/Walk 9:30 AM Awards Ceremony 10:00 AM Fun Run 10:15 AM Unlimited post-race activities open for race participants 11:30 AM Post-race activities available to the general public  

FAMILY PRICING

If you're signing up multiple people for the 5k or 10k, please make sure that you take advantage of our special pricing of $20 per person for either race. 2 people = $40 3 people = $60 4 people = $80 5 people = $100 If you're a parent/guardian with more than 2 children that you'd like to sign up for the Kids' Fun Run, we are offering free participation for an additional 3 children from the same family to limit the cost per family for Fun Run participation to $20.
