Kids Fun Run Entries: A non-competitive, un-timed fun run with four distances: 400 yard toddler trot, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and one mile. No need to specify which distance your child would like to run when you sign up. Children can run one or up to all four races if they prefer. Ribbons to all finishers.

Note: Children 12 and under entering the 5K or 2 Mile who wish to participate in the kids fun run do not need to register twice. Register only for the longer distance.

Take on a 15K: The unofficial 15K works like this: First you run the 5K, which you must finish in under 45 minutes. Come through the finish line, grab some water, do not take a medal, and then head back to the start line for the 10K race, which starts 45 minutes after the 5K. Then, run the 10K. You'll be present in the results of both the 5K and 10K events and are eligible for awards in both races. One t-shirt, one medal (take it at the end of the 10K or you'll have to carry it for 6 miles). NEW for 2022: Awards for the top three finishers per gender in the 15K.

T-shirts and sizes are guaranteed for entrants by November 15th at 11:59pm; after that time it is first come, first serve, limited to stock on hand.

Covid Protocols

Covid Protocols will be evaluated in the Fall and based on current health guidance from the City of Davis and Yolo County.

2021 Protocols for reference:

In order to ensure the safety of our athletes, volunteers, and staff, please

  • Wear A Mask:
    • at all times while in the registration area on race day and/or at packet pick up
    • any other time you are in close proximity (<6') to other participants or volunteers. This includes before or after your race, including the starting area, interacting with our volunteers or event staff, and when picking up awards.
  • ask all spectators attending on your behalf at the finish line to wear a mask when they are in close proximity of others.
  • do not attend if you have any Covid symptoms or if you have been recently exposed to Covid.

Race results: are typically posted within 2 minutes of your finish to the internet. QR codes will be posted around the venue for you to scan with your phone and access the results.

Do Not Crowd The Starting Line: The 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K events all utilize RFID chip timing. A timing chip will be located on the back of your race bib. There is no need to gather tightly in the starting area or to rush to start the race when the horn signals the start, because your personal time will not start until your bib crosses the timing mats at the start line.

All post race activities and race logistics will be subject to appropriate Covid protocols, for which A Change of Pace will assess in early November.

  • Dogs must be leashed (non-retractable) at all times, and comfortable around crowds and other dogs. Dogs may also be carried, pushed in doggy strollers or in wagons in the 2 mile. Please plan to pick up after your four legged friend.
  • Strollers are permitted in the 2 mile run/walk; must start in the back of the 5K or 10K
  • Wheelchairs are permitted in all divisions. Racing wheelchairs may start at the front. Non-racing wheelchairs should start in the back.
  • All events are scored and placed using your chip time, therefore, feel free to hang back from the crowd at the start. Your time does not start until you cross the starting mats.
  • Unclaimed awards are not mailed.
  • Shirts are not held for no-shows and packets are not sent for no-shows.
  • Interested volunteer groups, please email us
  • Scooters, bikes, hula hoops, rollerblades, skateboards and sports balls are not allowed on the course.

Refund Policy

Please Note Refund Policy: Start times are subject to change. Event happens rain or shine. All entries are strictly non refundable and non transferable. We reserve the right to postpone, delay or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances or acts of God which would make staging the event unsafe for event participants, volunteers, sponsors or staff. If we, the State of California, Yolo County, or the City of Davis deem this event unsafe to occur in person due to current health conditions (including Covid or air quality due to wildfires) we will notify you of our decision to postpone or cancel, or move to virtual, by email as well as on our website and social media pages. There will be no refunds should this occur.
