_ The 2022 Hero's Journey 5K:

The 7/20 Foundation is proud to present the 1st annual Hero’s Journey 5K Run/Walk. This unique point to point race makes its way through Aurora's City Center and culminates in the 7/20 Memorial Reflection Garden.  The 5K run/walk is just beginning.  Participants are welcome to attend Metamorphosis: Aurora Theater 10 Years Later. This family friendly event begins at 2 pm with a remembrance ceremony followed by the foundation’s annual Reflection Garden on Tap Beer and Chalk art festival. The 7/20 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that honors loved ones taken in the Aurora Theater shooting as well as celebrates the resilience of our community and communities across the nation who have suffered similar tragedy.  To produce this race, The 7/20 Foundation is collaborating with Zack Golditch, a theater shooting survivor, whose goal it is to create a scholarship for Aurora high school seniors who are student athletes. Proceeds from this run will go directly towards creating the Zack Golditch Opportunity Scholarship.
