_ The 2022 Sleepy Kraken RunYak:
Come join us for the 3rd annual Sleepy Kraken RunYak on Saturday, June 11th 2022 at Lake Lurleen State Park! This Duathlon consists of a 2 mile road run, 2 mile paddle (Kayak or Paddleboard) and finishes with a 2 mile trail run. We are adding for yout 8-14 years of age this year the 1 mile road run, 1 mile paddle (Kayak or Paddleboard) and finishes with a 1 mile road run.
For those that don't paddle, don't fret with offer a challenging 4 miler for runners and walkers of all fitness levels.
Proceeds will benefit the TSNIP (Tuscaloosa Spay Neuter Incentive Program) http://www.tsnip.org/about-tsnip.html as well as healthy incentives with the Tuscaloosa Track Club.
Top 3 Overall M/F Solo (Adult & Youth)
Top 3 Overall M/F/Co-ed teams (Adult & Youth)
Teams consist of 2 people. Each team member must run one leg of the race, both will paddle together.
Top 3 Male/Female in Run only division
Age requirement is 7 years old participating with a parent, 12 to race alone in the (2-2-2). PFDs are required to be worn by all competitors regardless of swimming ability! Not wearing the required PFD will result in an immediate Disqualification, period.
Registration Fees: (Includes shirt if registered by 5/31)!
Adults - $45 per participant or $90 per team. (Day of $55/$110)
Youth - $30 per participant or $60 per team. (Day of $40/$80)
Run Only is $25 and includes shirt (if registered by 5/31)! (Day of $30)
First 75 participants to register will be guaranteed to receive a cool swag bag!!
Lake Lurleen Admission costs:This is in addition to race entry fee & will be paid to gate attendant on race day!

$2 for Seniors (62+)
Free for babies (0-3 years)
Don't forget to bring your extra cash! We will be giving away a Kayak again this year. All registered participants will receive 1 raffle ticket in their swag bay, but will have the opportunity to purchase more to increase your chances of winner this year prize!
Late Registration & Packet Pick-up is Saturday morning 6:30 - 7:45am. Race begins at 8:00am!!
