_ The 53rd Annual Easter Beach Run:

EVENT OVERVIEW

This festive, Easter-themed beach run was established in 1967 by the City of Daytona Beach. The race was first held on Easter Sunday to provide an activity for visiting college students and is now the oldest consecutive footrace in the State of Florida.

Participants will enjoy a scenic run on the World’s Most Famous Beach while traveling out and back for the 4-mile race, 2-mile fun run or health walk. Kids are also welcome to participate in the 1/4-mile race, 100 and 50-yard dash.

Following the race, registered participants head over to title sponsor, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Co. for their world-renown shrimp and grits. Sponsors and vendors will also have tons of treats and information to share throughout the event.

The Easter Beach Run is professionally chip-timed

4 Mile & 2 Mile Races - 11 a.m. 
Held on the beach in front of the historic Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell
11 a.m. - 4 mile Race (all ages, teams welcome)
11 a.m. - 2 mile Race & Fun Health Walk (all ages)

Kids Races - 10 a.m. 
50 yards (3-5 years)
100 yards (6-7 years)
1/4 mile (8-9 years)

Fees:
2-mile or 4-mile Race Registration - $35 - Seniors 60 & Over $30 
2-mile or 4-mile Race Registration - $40 After March 31st - Seniors  60 & Over $35
2-mile or 4-mile races Pre-registration - Youth 9 & Under  -$20

Kids races (50yd/100yd/1/4 mile) -$20 Entry- after March 31st $20.00 Entry Fee

*Note: Youth wanting to participate in a kid’s race and the 2-mile or 4-mile race, will need to register for both separately at $20 each to participate ($40 total).

Race day packet pickup info:
Race-day packet pickup will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell behind the Ocean Walk Shoppes and Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. 

AWARDS

2022 custom “finisher” medals for the first 800 registered runners and walkers completing the race.

4 mile Age Groups:  Top 3 Overall Males & Top 3 Overall Females -  1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in each age group 11 & Under, 12-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-59,60-69, 70-74,75-79, 80+

2 mile Age Groups: Top 3 Overall Males & Top 3 Overall Females - 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in each age group 8 & Under, 9-11, 12-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65-79, 80+

Kids Races
Each “Kids Race” participant receives a participant medal!

Award ceremonies will be held at the bandshell following each race. Results will be available online beginning race day.

Awards not picked up race day may be picked up weekdays at the CODB Leisure Services Administrative office for 30 days after the race. Awards will be mailed if requested with a $10 check to CODB - P.O. Box 2451 Daytona Beach, FL 32115.

PARKING
Parking is available in the Ocean Center Garage across from the Ocean Walk Shoppes on A1A. Additional parking available City of Daytona Beach lots, metered spots on city streets and in private lots on A1A near Main Street.
