RACE MISSION
The Always Wear Your Seatbelt Foundation invites you to join us in raising seatbelt safety awareness at our upcoming 2022 “Lace-Up to Buckle-Up” 5K Walk/Run. This is our annual fundraiser and 100% of the net proceeds go towards our furthering our mission. The AWYS mission is to save lives through raising awareness and educating teens to Always Wear Your Seatbelt, if not for yourself, for Laura & Eddie. Our foundation was founded in memory of Laura Grant and Eddie Culberhouse, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident on February 6, 2011. ENTRY FEES*
Adult Entry Fee for In-person or Virtual:
Thru April 9th - $35.00
April 10th - 28th - $40.00
Race Day - $45.00

Youth Entry Fee (under 19) for In-person or Virtual:
Thru April 28th - $19.00
Race Day - $30.00

*Entry fees for Adults and Youth will include a unisex super soft blend race t-shirt, a bib number, a finisher medal and your race packet shipping!

Online Registration Closes on Thursday, April 28th 11:59pm.

THE FIRST 500 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A FINISHER MEDAL!


RACE PACKET PICKUP AND VIRTUAL MAILING INFORMATION AND DEADLINES FOR EVENT
If you are joining us in-person, we will be hosting an early packet pickup the day before.  Location and time are TBD.  Or you can pickup your race items on race day at the venue starting at 7:00am.

If you are joining us virtually, to guarantee that you receive all your race items by race day (t-shirt, bib and medal), you must register by April 20, 2022!  If you register after April 20, 2022 we cannot guarantee your race packet will be received before race day.  

RACE T-SHIRTS
Race t-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants that register by April 20, 2022.  Shirts sizes are not guaranteed after that date.

This race will award the top 3 Overall male and female finishers + the top 3 in each group listed below broken out by gender:

FAQ's:

Is the 5k live this year?  Yes! We will be live and in-person, with a virtual option for those who want to participate but can't be with us in Orlando.

How do I participate virtually?
If you can't be in Orlando for the event, you are invited to select your own starting line, whether it's your neighborhood street, your school track, a treadmill, or another route that suits you.

How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.1 miles.

How will I be timed?
Yes!  All registered in-person runners will be timed electronically.  

How will I get results?
The results for in-person will be scored and uploaded to the race website that morning.  A result link will be sent out the week of the event to all registered in-person participants.

Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners who successfully complete their registration and payment processes seven weekdays before the race are guaranteed a free race t-shirt.  Race shirts are shipped in accordance with registration completion. All sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after April 20, 2022. 

What's included in my race packet? 
All registered participants will receive the official 2022 race bib, t-shirt & medal!*
*The first 500 registered participants will receive a finisher medal.

How much does registration cost?
Adult registration will start at $35 per person and Ages 19 and under registration will start at $19 per person. Registration fees include shipping for those participating virtually.


Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
