_ The 2023 Pine Island Calusa Trail 5K Run and Walk:
Event Information:

On January 14, 2023 the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island will host its second annual Calusa Trail 5K Run. This run/walk will take you along the waterfront in Pineland, thru quiet neighborhoods and finishes with a ¼ mile run on hard packed trails and wooden decking at the Calusa Heritage Trail.
The race begins at the Calusa Heritage Trail, 13810 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia FL at 8:00am. Race tech shirts are guaranteed to participants that register by January 1, 2022. Post-race refreshments will be available.
Parking
There will be no parking available at the Calusa Heritage Trail on race day. All parking will be at Alden Pines Golf Club, 14261 Clubhouse Drive Bokeelia, FL. The parking area is a 5-10min walk to the race start location. Limited shuttle service will be provided. Please park only in the designated are at Alden Pines. No street parking is available.
Awards Information
Awards will be presented to male/female overall all winners, and three deep in the following age groups: kids 12 and under, teens 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. The first 10 walkers will also receive an award.
Packet Pick Up
Packet pick up will be available on January 12 from 5-7pm at Century 21 10191 Stringfellow Rd, St James City 33956
Race Day Registration
January 14, 2022 7:00-7:30am. Same day race registration will be performed electronically using the participants cell phone and is not recommended to be done at the event due to cell signal issues.
Proceeds
A portion of the event proceeds will benefit children's programs at the Calusa Heritage Trail.
