_ The 2nd Annual Blue & Green 5K Presented by Team Georgia TGA:
We're back, Georgia!
The 2nd Annual Blue & Green 5K presented by Team Georgia TGA is a run/walk event that promotes the importance of organ donation and transplantation and also celebrates the lives of organ donors. Blue & Green are the colors used across the U.S. to show support for organ & tissue donation. Team Georgia TGA (Transplant Games of America) is a nonprofit (501c3) organization and the official state team made up of organ, tissue and cornea transplant recipients, living organ donors, donor families, and supporters who compete and cheer at the Transplant Games of America (https://www.transplantgamesofamerica.org/). We spend hundreds of hours each year at our local medical centers, virtual and community gatherings, and other public events advocating the life-saving benefits of organ donation and transplantation. Anyone can be a hero and save someone's life! Please consider registering to be an organ donor now:
In our 2nd year, the race will be in-person at Jim R Miller Park in Marietta, with a virtual option provided. This course is flat and fast! Get outdoors and enjoy this Georgia springtime sunshine and balmy weather while running/walking in our 5K and supporting the organ donor registry and transplant advocacy! Children and strollers are welcome, so bring the entire family. No pets, please! Virtual runners can use your favorite running app (Strava, Nike+, Garmin, Mapmyrun, etc..) while completing the 5K and then enter your results directly on this site.
