_ The 2022 Kirkwood Spring Fling 5K:

We're excited to announce the return of the Kirkwood Spring Fling 5K Road Race! Race starts promptly at 8:30 am on the morning of May 14, 2022. Runners should arrive early enough to conduct a good warmup, properly hydrate, and be in place at the starting line by this time. Runners are gathering in the heart of Kirkwood at the corner of Howard St. SE and  Hosea Williams Drive adjacent to the Valero. Please be advised that we are expecting a group of at least 600 runners and while it is outdoors, please do your part to minimize the spread of Covid-19 and keep your fellow runners healthy. Masks, vaccinations, and social distancing are encouraged but not required.  Jog through the heart of Atlanta's beautiful and historic Kirkwood neighborhood. The gently sloping route passes by historic homes and tree-lined boulevards before finishing back in downtown just as the Kirkwood Spring Fling Festival is getting started. Runners of all ages and abilities, dogs, and strollers are welcome. All proceeds benefit the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization, a local 501c3 non-profit dedicated to community improvement
