2022 RUN FOR CLEAN AIR CANCELED DUE TO COURSE ISSUES

It is with great disappointment that we announce that the 2022 Run for Clean Air is canceled. 

You can find our full statement here, but in short, with just over a month before race day we were told that the MLK bridge at the start of our course is no longer available for our use by special events. After looking into alternatives, we ultimately decided that there wasn't enough time for us to recreate the event at the venues available to us and didn’t feel it would be right to put on a rushed or scaled-down event. 

These last two years have been especially difficult for many, and everyone at Clean Air Council was hoping that an in-person Run for Clean Air would bring back a sense of normalcy and much-needed community. We are so appreciative of the support we’ve received from our runners, walkers, volunteers, and partners and we hope that you will continue to stand by us in this difficult time. With the cancellation of our race, we hope that you will consider turning your registration fee into a donation in honor of Earth Day and becoming a member of Clean Air Council. 

Participants have until March 25th to consider their options regarding their registration fee. After that, we will refund anyone that didn’t fill out the survey. 

Still want your finisher medal? Well you’re in luck because our medals were already in production when we were forced to cancel the event. For a donation of $15 or more, we’re happy to ship you this year’s finisher medal (medal with ribbon, shipping and handling included), which doubles as a magnet! Even though the event is canceled, we invite you to Run for Clean Air on your own this year. There’s no need to send us your time, but feel free to post on social media about it! To get a finisher medal, just go to our RunSignUp donation page and select the $15 finisher medal option (or an amount over $15).
