_ The 2022 Midway Shelter Winter 5k Run / Walk:

Join us this year for the annual Midway Shelter 5k run and walk. Event takes place this year at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal in Alameda on Bay Farm Island and supports a great cause. The run will take you along the beautiful shoreline of Bay Farm Island and is a flat out and back with views of San Francisco and the Alameda Main Island. Race time is 9:00am for the 5k.  The Kids run for 12 and under will be a 1/2 mile course. Kids run will start at 8:45am. Look for the kids run category at registration. There is plenty of parking at the Ferry terminal and we will have snacks and drinks when the race is over.  Midway Shelter provides emergency shelter to homeless women and children and is operated through a partnership with Alameda Homeless Network and Building Futures – learn more about our work by checking out our two websites, below! Founded in 1989, Midway Shelter of Alameda provides a safe and supportive environment for women and children experiencing  homelessness.
