2022 Run The Rock ~ Results

_ The 2022 Run The Rock:

“The Rock” is at the center of Albion College’s campus located on the Quad.  The Run the Rock event passes right by and even though you’ll be going by so fast to see how many layers of paint make the rock what it is today, you’ll be able to feel the history that each layer brings to what makes Albion College special.

Your Registration Does More Than Secure Your Spot…
When you register for a Run Albion event you are giving back to the Albion community. With the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to cover the cost of the entire series. Each registration fee is then used as a donation to a local nonprofit organization that provides course volunteers. In 2021 Run Albion donated  $3,000 across five different nonprofits. As a participant in Run Albion, you can know that you're making an impact in our community. 

Entry fee: Fee is $25 until Thursday 4/25. Fee is $40 on race day with no shirt guarantee

5K Run/Walk. The 5K is open to strollers and dogs. Kids Fun Run is free.

5k Special pricing: Students 18 and under $10 discount off entry fee. Applied automatically during checkout.

Packet Pickup: 5 to 6pm 

Race Start: 6:30pm 

RUN THE ROCK AWARDS
This year, all participants will receive a finisher medal.  Awards will also be given to the top 5 men and top 5 women overall for the individual events.  Points will be award to all Run the Rock participants which will be used in determining series awards.  

SERIES SCORING AWARDS
When you participate in Run Albion events, you're eligible for series awards when you participate in two out of the three events.  For detailed scoring information visit, runalbion.com

The race will be professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race on this site.

VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK
If you cannot make the Run Albion series events in person, but you would still like to participate and support the local non-profits that are beneficiaries of Run Albion's proceeds, you can complete the Virtual Run Albion series! A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose.  You can run, jog, or walk on the road, or the trail, or the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. All participants will receive a medal! 

What: This is a virtual race, so you choose your own course and time yourself.

When: Complete your race any time during race weekend April 29, 30, or May 1.  Medals and other race swag will ship by May 17, 2022.

Where: You choose the course and you time yourself.  Text your results using the link provided when you signed up and that will be your official time.

Why: You want to participate because you love Albion as much as we do, you just can't always be in Albion in person.

Cost: The price is $25 and includes a finishers' medal and t-shirt. 

Series Awards: Just as with our in-person event, we'll award overall series awards if you participate in 2 out of the 3 virtual events.  It is important to note that if you participate in 1 in-person event and 2 virtual events, you'll be eligible for virtual series awards but if you participate in 2 in-person events and 1 virtual event, you'll be eligible for in-person series awards. Your points between the two different event types will not be combined, virtual points will go towards virtual overall series awards and in-person points will go towards in-person overall series awards.

Run/Walk 1 Race for FREE when 3 participants sign up using your referral code for the same event! If you're the rock star we all know you are, when 5 participants sign up for the same Run Albion event as you, using your referral code, you'll earn a special Run Albion zip-up hoodie! Applies only to each individual race in the Run Albion Series and not the series itself.

Register for the event, share your unique referral code with friends, family, etc. When you have 3 referrals you'll get a refund equal to one race fee.  When you get 5 referrals you'll get a free zip-up hoodie!
