_ The 2022 Locust #Elfie 5K Run/Walk:

Sunday November 27th is the deadline to be guarenteed a long sleeve cool max race shirt.  After that, you will get a short sleeve cotton shirt.  Price Increases to $35.00 on December 1st. A fast & flat-ish course through the Locust Town Center & surrounding neighborhood!  Help us welcome December &  the upcoming Holidays to Locust, NC!  Wear your favorite Christmas attire, prizes for best dressed Elfie!  @excitebikes will be leading the way during the race, course will be marked and we will have our communication dudes readily available on the course...so please don't get lost.  :) Packet Pick-up will begin Friday, December 2 from 10am-5:30pm @vacanddash in Albemarle, and Saturday, December 3 from 9am-1pm @drconniesmarket in the Locust Town Center.  Please note the Locust Parade begins at 1pm, so it may be difficult to get in and out if you wait until the last minute!  We encourage you to pick up your bibs prior to Sunday, to eliminate congestion race day!  Reminder about yoga from 2:00pm-2:30pm near the start line, taught by our friends @FlowYoga!  This pre-race Yoga is FREE TO ANYONE! (RUNNERS & SPECTATORS)  Look for the table near City Hall. Please use parking lots as much as possible on Race Day.  They are located behind the main buildings in the Town Center.  We would prefer you keep the streets along the course as free as possible to ensure the safety of our runners.  Orange Cones will mark the spaces we want you to definitely avoid! Don't forget about the prize for BEST DRESSED ELFIE.  The winner will receive a dozen cake pops by @sassycakes.  We will have slips of paper for you to enter the Elfie's name or bib number.
