COVID SAFETY :

·         PLEASE MAINTAIN 6 FOOT DISTANCE BETWEEN OTHERS, ESPECIALLY WHILE STANDING IN LINE FOR PACKET PICKUP/BIB PICK UP, SAME-DAY REGISTRATION, AND PORT A JONS ·         SANITIZER STATIONS WILL BE PLACED THROUGHOUT THE PARK AREA FOR YOUR USE.

Packet Pick up

Thursday 12/08/22: 9am - 8pm (Downtown YMCA. 1000 North Market St. Frederick, MD  21701) Friday 12/08/22: 9am - 8pm (Downtown YMCA. 1000 North Market St. Frederick, MD  21701)
Saturday (Race Day) 7am - 9am (At the pavilion.  Please stay to the outside of the tables.  Volunteers will be directing you.) Saturday (Race Day) New Registration:  7am - 9am (At the pavilion) I highly recommend, if possible, to pick up your shirt and bib or just the bib on Friday, December 10th to avoid the crowd on race day morning.   RACE START TIMES Virtual Runners may run their race starting December 09 at 8:00am to Sunday, December 11 at 5:00pm Saturday in-person race 9:00am  One Mile Elf Run Starts 9:20am 5K and 10K Run Starts  

Awards

Overall Women and Men for the 5K and 10K run:  Announced after live results around the timing Trailer/Pavilion area' 1st Place Winners:  All age groups, Women and Men 5k and 10K - Announced after live results, receive award at timing trailer/pavilion area   Additional Information  You may pick up someone else’s packet if you have identification for the extra person (i.e. picture of driver license on phone) All packets are required to be picked up at packet pick-up or at the in-person race day (before and after race).  Packets will not be mailed. We will hold packets after the race.  You may pick up in person at the downtown branch.

THE RACE COURSES

• THE 5K RACE.  STARTING AT MONOCACAY PARK TO SHIFFERSTADT RD, 2 U-TURNS ON SHIFFERSTADT ROAD, RETURN BACK TO THE PARK.
• THE 10k RACE IS 2 LAPS OF THE 5K COURSE.  A TURN AROUND WILL BE PLACE INSIDE THE PARK NEAR THE START/FINISH LINE TO BEGIN YOUR 2ND LAP.
• THE ONE MILE IS AN OUT AND BACK ROUTE FROM THE PARK TO THE FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD ON MOCHICAN DR AND TURNING AROUND ON MOCHICAN COURT BACK TO THE PARK.
• WATER STATIONS WILL BE SET UP IN THE PARK NEAR THE PAVILLON AND AT THE SECOND U-TURN ON SHIFFERSTADT RD.
• FIRST AID STATIONS WILL BE LOCATED AT THE WATER STATION ON SHIFFERSTADT RD AND AT THE PAVILLON IN THE PARK

PARKING

• THERE ARE SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR YOU ON RACE DAY.  PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY.
• YMCA PARKING LOT AND A SHORT WALK ACROSS EAST STREET TO THE PARK
• DELAWARE ROAD BETWEEN THE PARK ENTRANCE/EXIT DRIVEWAY TOWARDS EAST STREET. DO NOT PARK IN THE RESIDENTIAL AREA BEHIND THE MONOCACY VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER.
• MONOCACY VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER-DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF RETAIL STORES (DOLLAR GENERAL, SALVATION ARMY AND THE WOODSBORO BANK)
• LOCAL ROAD RUNNING PARALLEL TO EAST STREET AND RAILROAD TRACKS
• THE MONOCACY VILLAGE PARK PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED TO PARTICIPANTS AND GUESTS.  THIS LOT WILL INCLUDE 10 PORT-A-POTS, FOOD TRUCKS, VOLUNTEER, AND STAFF PARKING ONLY. 

Race shirt  Shirt sizes are available for ages 5 and up!  Shirt size will be guaranteed if registered by November 1, 2022. After November 1st, it's first come first serve and sizes are not guaranteed. Ages 1-4 will receive a race cinch bag or equivalent gift instead of a shirt BIBS REMEMBER TO PUT ALL 4 PINS IN THE BIB  AND ATTACH THEM TO THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR APPAREL.  IF THE BIB SHOULD FLIP WHILE RACING, THE TIMING CHIP WILL BE UNABLE TO CAPTURE YOUR TIMES.  DO NOT PLACE YOUR BIB UPSIDE DOWN ON YOUR APPAREL. ONE-MILE PARTICIPANTS DO NOT USE BIBS FOR THIS RACE. VIRTUAL RUNNERS
Please use your email confirmation that was sent from Run Sign Up and Click on the “Manage Registration” link.
Then look for the “DIGITAL BIB” tab at the top right of the screen and click to see and print your bib
It will have your Name, Bib #, and Team Name if you joined a team.

SUBMITTING TIME MANUALLY
If you run your virtual race on a treadmill or wish to submit your time manually, submit it on the Results page:    Finisher Medal Medals double as a holiday ornament!!
Everyone receives a finisher medal Awards Overall Male and Female in each race category (5K and 10K)
First-place winners, male and female, for each age group and race category (5K and 10K).
