_ The 2022 Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford:

Welcome to 24th annual 5K Race and Kids K Fun Run thru downtown Rockford. Packet pick up will take place on August 19 from 4:30-7:00pm, late packet pick up August 20, 7 - 8:00am. Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Mitchell Peterson, and many other boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All race proceeds will be donated to PPMD in Mitchell's honor, to END DUCHENNE. This is a fun, family event, with live music and a festive atmosphere. The course runs through scenic Rockford and along The White Pine Trail!!!! Superheros will be available for photographs at the race again this year! Each registered 5K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run Race Tee, race bib, a finisher medal and race refreshments.
Each registered Kids K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run Race Tee, race bib, finisher medal and a popsicle or ice cream treat.
Each Virtual 5K participant will be mailed a race packet with our MRTR Race Tee, Race Bib and Medal prior to the event.
