Runners can expect all single track running with a mixture of technical terrain with rocky/rooted footing and some hard packed trails.
There will be water crossings and difficult ascents and descents along Pine Mountain Ridge that will literally take runners breath away.
Make no mistake: this will be a tough test of off-road strength and be prepared for an ultimate test of endurance. Leading up to the race, the Endurance Challenge team recommends training on hilly terrain and technical trails.
On race day, make sure to wear durable trail shoes as you will be running over rocks and roots and possibly through water at times.
