Saturday, September 16, 2023 - 10 am http://PoundThePavement.5K.run  Starting outside the Red Onion Cafe / Johnson Financial Group: 555 Sam Johnson Parkway, Racine, WI 53405  Description: In partnership with the Downtown Racine Corporation, Party on the Pavement will be host to the 2nd annual Pound the Pavement 5K – Celebrating Downtown Racine!  The run begins at Main St. and Sam Johnson Parkway promptly at 10am. Pre-register at: https://poundthepavement.5k.run/ The race starts promptly at 10:00 am. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time to get your race packet and get to the start line. You need to be at the start line by 9:50 am - Runners should start in the front, good looking people toward the back. Anyone with a stroller will need to start in the back.    
PARTY ON THE PAVEMENT IS THIS SATURDAY NOON-7PM   The 19th annual Party on the Pavement street festival presented by the Downtown Racine Corporation will follow the run/walk. With over 12 blocks filled with live music, incredible food and drinks, street performances, shopping, games and rides, there is something for the whole family. The day’s festivities kick off at noon and run until 7:00 pm. Admission to the Party on the Pavement grounds is free, which takes place downtown on Main Street from State Street to 7th Street, and all of 6th Street from Lake Avenue to City Hall. If the thrill of over 15,000 attendees isn’t enough, the street performances slated for Party on the Pavement will surely get you excited. Division BMX Stunt Team will be soaring through the air on the corner of College Avenue and 6th Street. You can catch one of their shows at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Hip-Hop and breakdance group, Sweatshop Movement, will host jaw dropping dance battles and performances throughout the day on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and 6th Street. Racine Gymnastics will be tumbling down Sam Johnson Parkway and Racine Wresting will have multiple match ups from 2pm-3pm and 5pm-6pm. Educators Credit Union will have an interactive trailer. with fun games, awesome prizes, and more. Relive the glory days of automobiles at the Nash Car Club of America car show next to the Red Onion. Party on the Pavement has been a major destination for music lovers from all over Southeastern Wisconsin, and this year is no exception.
