_ The 2023 Warrenville Park District Firecracker 5K:

  The Warrenville Park District is hosting the 15th Annual Firecracker 5k Run/Walk on Tuesday, July 4th. The 5K run kicks off at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center at 8:00am sharp. The scenic course incorporates the Illinois Prairie Path, Warrenville Grove and the streets of downtown Warrenville. The first 300 participants are guaranteed a race t-shirt and goody bag AND NEW THIS YEAR - FINISHER MEDALS!. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each group: Ages 14 & Under Ages 15-19 Ages 20-29 Ages 30-39 Ages 40-49 Ages 50-59 Ages 60-64 Ages 65-69 Ages 70+ The Sparkler 1-Miler will take place following the 5K. All participants will receive a t-shirt and NEW THIS YEAR - FINISHER MEDALS! *Just for Kids* a 50 yard dash for ages 3-6 and a 100 yard dash for ages 7-10. Racers must sign a waiver to participate and each child will receive a participation ribbon only. Packet Pick-Up: Wednesday, June 28 from 6:00-8:00P in the Warrenville Recreation Center Multipurpose Room, 3S260 Warren Avenue, Warrenville. Can't make it then? Packets can also be picked up at the FitnessNOW Guest Services desk in the Recreation Center, from June 29 until race day. You must register by Sunday, June 25 in order to receive your race bib prior to race day. Please read this form carefully and be aware that in signing up for and participating in programs/ activities, you will be expressly assuming the risk waiving and releasing all claims from injuries you or your children might sustain arising out of these programs. As a participant in Warrenville Park District programs, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume full risk of any injuries, including death, damages, or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with such programs. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims that I may have as a result of participating in the programs against Warrenville Park District, City of Warrenville, DuPage Forest Preserve and DuPage County and their officers, agents, servants and employees. I do hereby fully release and discharge the Warrenville Park District, City of Warrenville, DuPage Forest Preserve and DuPage County and their officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages, and losses which I may have or which may occur to me on account of participation in these programs. I authorize the Warrenville Park District, City of Warrenville, DuPage Forest Preserve and DuPage County officials to secure from any licensed hospital, physician, and/or medical personnel, any treatment deemed necessary for any immediate care and agree that I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services rendered. The Warrenville Park District, City of Warrenville, DuPage Forest Preserve and DuPage County does not carry medical or accident insurance for program participants. Sorry, no wheels or paws (such as no strollers, bikes or dogs) due to narrow paths on race course.
