_ The 2024 Fleet Feet Arizona Trail Race:

Fleet Feet Fleet Feet is proud to present the 17th Annual Arizona Trail Race, Southern Arizona’s premier trail running event. This unique eight-mile race features the beautiful landscape of the Arizona Trail within Colossal Cave Mountain Park and great amenities. Your race starts and finishes at La Posta Quemada Ranch, located inside the park, with participants following a gorgeous, yet challenging route. (Trail-specific running shoes are strongly recommended.) Due to the nature of a single track trail and our desire to minimally impact the land, the Arizona Trail Race will be limited to 250 runners. We recommend you sign up early, as this race does sell out. Transfer of registration will not be allowed. If you are unable to participate, please notify us so that we may use your spot to accommodate those on the waiting list.

Please pay attention to our course monitors and signs. The Arizona Trail is extremely well-marked, and we will have our monitors throughout the course to ensure you don’t get lost.  There will be directional signs and mileage markers on the course.

There are four water station crossings, located at approximately 2.5, 3.5, 5.5 and 6.5-miles. At the finish line we’ll have bottled water and Skratch performance drink.

Porta-Potties will be available at the start/finish line area. There will also be a men’s and women’s bathroom at the La Sevilla Campground (approx. 3.5 and 5.5 miles into the race). Please do not use the open desert. We are guests of this area and would like to return next year.

All timing will be computed with chip timing. Your chip is attached to the back of your bib.  Please do not bend it in any way.  Please remember to keep your bib on the front of your body.  Without a bib you will not receive a time and will not qualify for an age group award, which are in 5-year increments (10-14, 20-24, etc.  80+ is the last age grouping).  Our awards will begin as the last runners are finishing.  All participants will receive a finisher medallion.  Overall male and female winners will be removed from the age group awards and will be determined by gun time.

If you’re a faster runner make sure you start towards the front.  If you’re a middle of the pack runner please start toward the middle or back.  This helps to avoid congestion on the trail.  Please be aware of runners approaching from behind and yield to passing runners.  When passing, always PASS ON THE LEFT and inform runner ahead of you of your intentions.  For everyone’s safety on this single-track trail, devices that require headsets are not permitted!  If you are seen wearing headphones, you will be disqualified.

When you hit the finish line grab yourself a free bottle of water and enjoy your Free Breakfast courtesy of Fleet Feet (one per person).
