2023 Tom Dore - Run The Runway 5K ~ Results

_The 2023 Tom Dore's Run the Runway 5K benefitting ALS care at HFSC:

• 5K Race ($30: Preregistration until 6-14-2023/ $35 Day of Race)
• Same day registration 4 - 6:00 pm *5K starts at 6:30pm sharp
• FREE T-Shirt guaranteed to 1st 100 Preregistered runners prior to June 1, 2023.
• Kids race free starts at 6:00pm

Venue Information & Course Description:
This is a full day event. Connecticut Parachutists Inc. will be open at 12:00pm and will be operating until race time. Everyone is encouraged to come out early to picnic, hike, make a tandem skydive or just have fun observing jump demonstrations.

• 5K Race: A flat, fast 3.1mile run that starts on the runway and then on to a cut grass lawn and then on to a hard pack dirt road that finishes at the runway. 6:30pm start time.
• The 5K will have at least 1 water stop.
• Hot dogs, fruit, and smores will be provided at the fire pit after the race.
• The 5K awards presentation for the top finishers in each age group, and raffle will be held on the Connecticut Parachutists Inc. Drop Zone at the end of the runway immediately following the race. About 7:30pm.
• The FREE raffle prize drawing is for all entrants who have a BIB number. *You must be present to win*.

• The race is pet friendly, but they must be on a leash.
• Parking: There is limited parking on both sides of the runway so please park in the Rice Manufacturing parking lot at 356 Somers Road.

A fast,flat 5K that starts on the runway, then on to a cut grass lawn, then on to a hard pack dirt road and then back to the runway for the finish line.

President Joe Biden is expected to visit Connecticut for an event at the University of Hartford on Friday, June 16, 2023. We are expecting significant delays on 91 southbound from exits 40-35 starting around 1:00pm and again in reverse from exits 35-40 northbound starting at 3:00pm. During this time, 91 is expected to shut down during the President’s transport to and from the airport. Please plan accordingly, we still have a starting time of 6:30 PM! See you all there!
