  • The local Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1991, is part of a grassroots organization that focuses primarily on eliminating poverty and building decent affordable houses for people in need.
  • This organization achieves this goal with the help of donations as well as hundreds of volunteers.
  • Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built and renovated more than 200,000 houses worldwide.
