Official Site: www.GreatAmazingRace.com.   A Fun 1 Mile Cross Country Adventure Race for 2 ... (adults & kids)

OVERVIEW: Touring all NFL cities in 2012 Flying Colors Sports is proud to present the GREAT AMAZING RACE for YOUTH to build healthier and more active families.  We are committed to providing opportunities for youth to get active with adults (parents, grandparents, siblings, mentors, etc.) and experience the thrill of running in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

From start to finish, the race is the most invigorating activity for families to do together, ever! Whether you run, jog, walk or watch, it'll be an experience you will never forget!  The top 25 teams qualify for the National Championship Race and a chance to win $2,000!

Please help us spread the word by telling your family, family, neighbors, teammates, classmates, and co-workers to join in the fun!

(Average Team Race Time = 45-60 minutes)

WHAT: Patterned after the popular television show The Amazing Race, teams of two (adults & kids) race against other teams around a 1 mile cross country course that includes up to 8 fun-filled stations. The clue cards provided at each station directs the team to perform a task (game, relay, obstacle course, etc.) before proceeding to the next station. The team that completes the tasks and reaches the finish line with the fastest overall time is declared the winner. Contestants should be prepared to get a little dirty and wet - it's part of the fun!

To ensure fairness and safety of all involved, some of the tasks are slightly modified for youth and senior participants. The course layout is spectator friendly, to allow family and friends to tag along and take photos for the scrap book. This is a rain or shine event!

TESTIMONIAL: Thank you for your time and what an awesome day my son and I had. My son could not stop talking about it and thanking me for taking him! I truly appreciate the work you and your team our doing, it has made memories that will last a life time. Race parent.

WHO: The race is for everyone boys and girls runners, joggers and walkers - pee wees to seniors. The race is designed for teams of 2 (adults & kids kindergarten through 12th grade). Teams can choose a recreation pace (those who prefer to walk or jog at a leisure pace) or a competitive pace (those who prefer to run).

AWARDS: Every participant who crosses the finish line gets an official time card to recognize their accomplishment. Special awards are given to the winners of each grade division (determined by grade of youngest team member): Kindergarten Grade 4 Division, Grade 5- Grade 12 Division, and Adult Division. The awards will be presented at the main stage.

BENEFITING: Benefiting 30-MINUTES-A-DAY family initiative, a national campaign aimed at encouraging families to devote 30 minutes each day, at home, to 3 core activities (physical exercise, reading a book and eating healthy) that have the power to improve student's academic performance and family quality of life.
