2012 Zumbo Scholarship 5K:
The 6th annual Zumbo Scholarship walk/run benefit this year will take place on Sunday, October 7, at Bruce Park in Greenwich, CT at 9:00 a.m. The course is a distance of 5K (3.1 miles) around a series of lovely ponds, rolling hills, and naturally wooded areas that overlook the Indian Harbor.
Small children will have a separate event.
Funds raised will go directly to the John D. Zumbo Memorial Scholarship Fund, whose goal is to annually award a scholarship to a Greenwich High School senior who is planning to pursue a career in fitness or health-related area in college.
The scholarship is managed by the Greenwich Scholarship Association. To date, scholarships have been awarded to 7 Greenwich High School graduates.
The scholarship was established in memory of Johns love of health and fitness. John, a life-long resident of Greenwich and personal trainer, died in a tragic automobile accident in 2006 at the age of 28.

Use either of the two entrances to Bruce Park:
Indian Field Road (Exit 4), which is at the north end of the park.
Or Arch St. (Exit 3) which is toward Bruce Museum (wraps around towards Davis Avenue on the south end of the park). (See Signs)
