• 4th Annual Ray Crothers Memorial 2-Mile X-C Race :- Run 2 Miles

Ray was a CCSU cross-country All-American and Hall of Famer, who passed away in February 2008. His running accomplishments brought national recognition to CCSU. Ultimately he became a four-time winner of the Manchester Road Race winning in three different age divisions.   His long time ownership of The Run In, a running shoe store in Rocky Hill, allowed him to befriend, advise and encourage young and old alike in the art and science of long distance running. He was truly legendary in the sport of road racing.

This years event the 4^th Annual Ray Crothers Memorial 2-mile X-C Race will be held at Stanley Quarter Park,New Britain, in conjunction with the Ted Owen Collegiate X-C Invitational on September 22, 2012 at 9 a.m.   All age groups and genders are encouraged to participate.   On-line registration is available atwww.thelastmileracing.com as well as day of race registration until 8:45 a.m.  REGISTRATION IS FREE.   T-Shirts for the first 100 participants.   Prizes to the top 3 in each age group category.
