Description

Fast growing event with net proceeds going to Jean Dean RIF(Reading is Fundamental) 10k (currently 2 loops of 5k course) and a 5k race. Medals, Prizes and Glass Award for overall winners. Age group prizes and medals. Door prizes and gift certificate give away. All participants entered in vacation giveaway door prize drawing. Local Celebrity guests. Inflatables and kids races. 1.5 mile support walk.

Jean Dean RIF mission is to promote early youth literacy distributing over 75000 books annually to 25000 children attending Head Start or other Government sponsored day care for at risk children.

Fun event for a great cause.

Course Info

5k Course has been well received by members of local running club. Mild hills, open road route course through beautiful historic Opelka, Al. Floral Park is great location for event activities and sponsor tents and displays.
