Pevine Falls Run...

• Pevine Falls Run:- Run 8.2 Miles

The Peavine falls run is located in Oak Mountain State Park (roughly 20 minutes south of Birmingham, AL). This 8.2 mile run starts at upper picnic area and runs to the Peavine Falls parking lot 3.5 miles up a gravel road with a climb of 900'. The trip back down includes 1.2 miles of single track mtn bike trail.  Contact R.D. - Rick Melanson (205-835-0030 after 6:30 PM) for more details. Run this classic event on the 4th while less adventureous runners travel to Atlanta and "shuffle" through the course with 50,000 other "joggers".  Walkers are welcome but they must start no later than 6:30AM.

Take exit #246, turn right (if traveling South) and go one block to State Park Rd. Follow up to 4 way stop, turn left and go through main gate ($3 entry). Go 2 miles to the 1st right (Terrace Dr.), turn & go about 1.3 miles to the picnic area.
