About Fans on the Field:

What started as a unique grass-roots fundraising event has turned into one of Colorados most popular 5k/10k run/walks. Denver sports fans enjoy the thrill of running along Coors Field, across the floor of the Pepsi Center and along the sidelines at Sports Authority Field at Mile High all while supporting the unique and innovative programs of the National Sports Center for the Disabled.  Runners enjoy a post-event Tailgate Party at Sports Authority Field at Mile High complete with a complimentary lunch, Avery beer, live entertainment and activities for kids.   Since its inception, more than 15,000 people have participated in Fans on the Field. In 2009 the race was awarded the Best 10k in Colorado designation by Colorado Runner Magazine and was featured in 5280 Top of the Town Amazing Races.  The 2011 Fans on the Field sold out at 5,000 participants.  Because of the NSCD and events like Fans on the Field, thousands of children and adults with disabilities are able to participate in outdoor recreation and organized athletics learning more about sports and themselves.
