5K Run
The 5K course starts on NW 31st Drive in front of Westwood Middle School and heads south down the hill past the Pool. Runners take a left on NW 8th Avenue for a very fast first mile. Then, they will go up the infamous 8th Avenue Hill to take a left at the traffic light at NW 22nd Street. At NW 16th Avenue, runners take a left and head back towards Westside Park. Another left at NW 31st Drive and runners head back downhill for a fast finish in front of the Pool.
1 Mile Dog RunThe 1-Mile Dog Run is at 9 AM and is for dogs and their owners. Dogs will run with their owners along a 1-mile course around the perimeter of the park. No female dogs in heat. All dogs must be leashed at all times and are required to wear current rabies tags. Awards will be given to the winner of each dog weight division (Dog Divisions: 0-40 lb., 40 lb. and over). Special Awards will be given for: Dog and Owner Look-Alike Award, Best Costume,Slowest Dog, and many more.
