   T HIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT** The Adventure Race will be held at Hargis Retreat in Chelsea, AL. Obstacles include mud, climbing over obstacles, fire, paint, and water! This is a 5k run through Hargis Camp. Check-in will begin at 1:00 PM and the race will start at 3:30 PM. You can also register during check-in, but you will not be guaranteed a t-shirt at that time and the price will be $45! There will be a time open for you to donate your running shoes at the end of the race. This is optional, but after we clean them we will send them to Uganda! There is one course for all ages. Children can run with their parents or with a team. There will also be a play area with supervision for children if parents want to run without them.All runners will be fired off at 3:30pm. However, competitive runners will line up at the start line and there will be a different line, slightly further back for those that are running for fun. The race will be professionally timed with chips that will attach to your shoes for all runners. Teams and individuals will register the same way and for the same price through our Active page. You will be able to form your team the day of the event. We will have forms available for teams and a board to post all teams. You either run as an individual or a team, not as both. Begin recruiting now for your team (4-8 runners). IMPORTANT* This year we are really pushing everyone to PRE-REGISTER to allow our professional timing crew to organize the names and bib numbers in advance. Pre-registration is $38 and registration the day of the race will be $45. Register early! We are excited about the race and promise to make it bigger and better than it was last year.
