2012 Thank-a-Vet 5K Run/Walk:

The Air Force Junior ROTC program at Walton High School, DeFuniak Springs, Florida is hosting the First Annual Thank-a-Vet 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds will go towards the Walton AFJROTC program and to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

The objectives of AFJROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families.
